A Revy...your love of tea is amazingly intricate. I am not yet adventurist in relation to tea...I love Twinnings Earl Grey....but I would love to try some your favourites. Practical question...Do you know a good place for an Aussie to purchase such teas online?

Thanks Revy...I will begin my TV journey. 🙂 I am going to visit my kids in Melbourne, which is the place in Australia for Tea houses I am told...so I am going to check a couple out.

Hi Ian. Since you're in Australia, my favourite tea shop is in WA - Tiny Tea Shop. You can buy the tea online or at the Swan Valley. I buy several blends - but her ginger flame is my favourite.

Thank you Ian <3 Last summer I got really into making an iced earl grey latte with orange blossom water & vanilla 😳

Great question. Here are my favorite companies:

Yunnan Sourcing -- my first few tea hauls were from here. They seem to have an infinite amount of tea & teaware for great prices. My go-to for basic teaware on a budget. I would read reviews before choosing

white2tea -- my current obsession. They're masters at pu'er, but sell most other types as well. Really rad packaging. When I can't sleep I browse their site 😅

Mountain Stream Tea -- recently discovered them for their beautiful jade oolongs. They send really lovely free samples with your order.

West China Tea -- this is my favorite teahouse (though I've never been), located in Austin, TX. The owner Sohan is my favorite authority on tea & the culture around it

I've only had pu'er once, brewed by a Chinese artist, and I really enjoyed it. Right now, while I am partial to a good Earl Grey, I love the blends I buy from a tea-making friend. Her Ginger Flames is my favourite.

When I last visited London I came home with Countess Lady Grey from Fortnum & Mason, my one and only treat from that store. My special tea!

Oo an artist... what was the setting?

I was telling Ian I got into making an iced earl grey latte last summer that was divine 😳

Yum! Ginger everything I say... I drink ginger "tea" pretty much daily. What a blessing to have a tea-making friend (:

Oo I've heard of that store... how special to visit in person!

What a great post! I love my English/Scottish breakfast with milk, or a mild green tea. The latest one I've been enjoying is sensa matcha, steeped for just a little under 2 minutes. Greece has an excellent mountain tea as well, but I've not had an authentic cup for years!

Nefeli!!! I have a technical question... if matcha is powdered and you just pour water in n mix, how does it have a steep time? Or am I misunderstanding

😱😱 What is this mountain tea like? 🧐

Hi!! You are completely right- I messed up when I wrote my comment- the tea is just sensa, not matcha! 🤦🏻‍♀️

The mountain tea has a mild flavor to it, almost metallic. It is bought in its natural form, stalks + leaves, and thrown in boiling water and left to steep.
